St. Dominic with an "a"

Dress:H&M//bag:Chanel//Shoes: Franco Sarto//Sunglasses: Korea

St. Francis the new Pope was elected and this weekend celebrates St. Patrick's Day. People have often curiously asked me-with their head slightly titled to the side- "Where does your name come from?" --often confused by my asian appearance, southern accent and occasional word vomit of random French and Spanish words. Well, being the devoted Catholics my parents are, they wanted me to have a Catholic name and one that started with a "D"(in consistency with Dustin and David, my brothers). So, there you have it. I, Dominica--with the latin feminine form adding "a"-- named after St. Dominic of Spain whom was named after St. Dominic of Silos, like to imagine that St. Dominic's extensive travels in Italy, Spain, and France can explain why I am infatuated with these countries, and my disposition as a starry eyed wanderlust is due to the fact that he was the Patron of Astronomers *cue angelic music.

I pay homage to St. Patrick's Day and the history behind my name as millions of people-Catholics and non-Catholic alike- celebrate this holiday.  I absolutely adore this "Jackie-O I love it" dress; the material and unique structure is just immaculate and if you didnt look at the tag, you would be convinced that it was a Premier Designer's dress. When you put it on, you feel very feminine and confident despite its lack of hip-hugging-curves-enhancing- shape. I also love the festive green given then particular occasion. I kinda like to allude it to: a vintage twist to Giambattista Valli.

Ps. I may not be a Saint, but stay tuned for FFF's new project to help a community near you!

Vale! Enough chatter, have a merry weekend everyone!! To the tune of: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHhyyRByuJ0
