The 20s gal who collects vintage pieces…..guess which one I made?
….and swears she should've been a flapper girl in Paris during the 20s…
Target heels//Zara beaded top//Neiman Marcus clutch//vintage necklace
Vintage dress//vintage Salvatore Ferragamo shoes//headpiece made by me//vintage Bally bag
The great, Great Gatsby was finally released Friday and I managed to make it to a show--although most places were sold out! I'm still not sure how I feel about the CGI and the mixture of modern rap, but the cast and costumes were as good as gold ::okay sign, wink::..all hail DiCaprio--he never dissapoints. Ms. Davenport would definitely be proud that I still remember reading the book in AP Literature..
I've always had this strong disposition towards the 20s era. My unhealthy obsession with Paris came from watching foreign films and continued with trying to learn the language on my own. Since high school, I started my collection of vintage clothes with flapper dresses being my main muse. It was also during that time when I began my adventure as an avid Salvatore Ferragamo collector. I can spot one in a thrift store from a mile away.
Anyhow, these outfits pay homage to my undying love for all of the above!
Cheers to the timeless 20s.
Ps. I made the second dress from the right ;)
