I had the opportunity to interview and visit with Charlé, the manager of Buffalo Exchange in Atlanta, Georgia. She was very lively, sprite, and exuded a wonderful energy into the room. We exchanged some great conversations about our mutual interests in fashion!
Buffalo Exchange is not only a store, but a collective community of people who believe in a philosophy: new and recycled fashion store that buys, sells, trades and most of all, gives back to the community.
The 17-chain store offers affordable, trendy clothes, and a sustainable place to shop. It provides a fun platform for fashion lovers and for those who also enjoy giving back to the community.
"I love the social responsibility of the family-owned business and not only that but, taking care of our employees by offering benefits and the environment by going completely green with our bags."
The employees go through training and education in order to Buffalo Exchange partners with Atlanta Food Bank, Humane Society, Urban Wildlife Sanctuaries, and Coats for Cubs.
When asked: "What makes Buffalo Exchange different from other vintage stores?"
Charlé says that unlike stores that have matrix data to sort what kinds of clothes and brands they accept and don't accept, their clothes are hand-picked based on trends and styles that are currently up-to-date. In addition, their employees go through an extensive training process and education about fashion- many of which are local fashion students.
I picked up some outfits after chatting with Charlay. She says to be on a look out for urban, rock-n-roll and 90s trends with a lot of stars, stripes and interesting denim!
Here are a few looks I picked out!…..

The freedom lovers and friends
ALL ITEMS UNDER $25!!!
Try light fabrics such as the silk peach dress with a comfortable lace cotton bra, tan or brown suede shorts for a change of fabric, tie-dye dresses with design and lace, another maxi dress with a vintage tee, a crochet tank with python print, and don't forget the basics: a good pair of Levi shorts!
high-low blouse: $42
I love this high-low white blouse. I'm starting to regret I didn't buy it…although, it's a little pricier than some of the items- it's well worth it! The fabric, cut, and look is minimal and classy and I know I could wear it almost every day..come on, who doesn't have a staple white blouse? Okay, I've convinced myself into buying it..going back tomorrow (if you don't beat me to it.)
Also, the shorts remind me a little of the Isabel Marant shorts Rumineely so stylishly sported..you know urban, trendy, hot..because we all wished we were cool enough to live near a desert..well, if you live in Georgia you basically do….
The casual minimalists
In that case, you need breathable fabric like this teal dress. It's asymmetrical and perfect for keeping it simple during the day and dressing up at night with your favorite jean/leather jacket! And everyone needs a pair of nude heels whether you wear them to work or out on a casual dinner. I love this look..sort of my go-to Zara outfit, if you will.
Okay, whew. So here's the deal..If you go to the Buffalo Exchange located on Ponce de Leon, next to Urban Outfitters, and say you came because you saw their store on my blog "thefffsociety," they will give you $5 off! GO. SHOP. NOW.
You're welcome ;)- Dom
